Ingredients:
12 ounces
penne pasta
1 pound
ground turkey or ground sirloin
1 ½ cups
chopped yellow onion (from about 1 large onion)
1 ¾ teaspoon
salt, divided
1 teaspoon fresh
black ground pepper
5 garlic
cloves, finely minced
2 tablespoons
all-purpose flour
8 ounces
light cream cheese
2 cups milk,
1% of skim work great
⅛ teaspoon
nutmeg
1
(14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
1 cup
shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons
chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Preparation:
Coat a
9X13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside. Preheat the broiler.
In a large
pot of lightly salted, boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package
