Ham
and Potato Chowder with Homemade Croutons
“In place of
traditional saltines, I made some homemade croutons to top the chowder. They were a perfect crunchy addition to this
comforting, flavorful and thick soup.” Angela
Ingredients:
For
the Chowder:
1 cup diced,
cooked ham
1 onion,
peeled and diced
1 carrot,
peeled and diced
1 stalk

1 teaspoon
kosher salt
1 teaspoon

Leaves from 1
sprig of thyme
1 teaspoon
paprika (not smoked variety)
2 tablespoons
flour
2 cups whole
milk

Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Directions:
