Chocolate Chunk Glazed Doughnut Bread Pudding

“This is heavenly. This is sinful. Yes, it's both. But, darn it ... it is fabulously worth every calorie.” Angela

Ingredients:

 4 large eggs

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon freshly-grated nutmeg

7 - 8 day-old glazed donuts cut into chunks (about 1 1/2-inch pieces)

3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks (chocolate chips could be used), divided

 Directions:

 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a medium sized baking dish with butter or non-stick spray. Set aside.

 In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, 
cinnamon and nutmeg until well-combined.

Add in the donut chunks and stir gently to coat.

Allow donuts to soak in custard for about ten minutes while stirring occasionally.

Gently stir in 1/2 cup of the chocolate chunks.

Transfer to baking...
